I was born in Brittany. The sea and the waves are always an example to me of how natural music making should sound, look and feel.
The viola has been “my” instrument from the start. (Since I didn't start with the violin, I'm a so-called "noble viola".)
As a source of inspiration and mediator at the same time, the viola's middle voice fulfills my desire for solidarity and freedom.
In the orchestra I experienced everything... from extreme happiness to excruciating boredom and uncomfortable hierarchical structures, which led me to seek a life outside of the full-time position in the orchestra.
Following my mother's example, I have also gained more than 10 years of conducting experience. From the string orchestra to the symphony orchestra concert with soloists in the Berlin Philharmonie, I love bringing people and sounds together and making them a cohesive whole that is more than the sum of its individual parts.
And yet I need to produce a sound myself and not just encourage others to do so.
In recent years, I have increasingly worked on the conception and communication of approaches to show musicians a viable way to play music on stage happily, liberated and physiologically highly efficiently.
Through my extensive experience with viola groups, orchestras, students and various stage preparation courses, I have already been able to successfully apply many working concepts. And I keep searching... Not a week goes by that I don't get a little further with my investigations.
I am currently working on preparing and structuring this extensive information in such a way that as many people as possible can work with it.
This website is also a step on this path... so welcome and have fun browsing and discovering.
